Create a Merge Process - One Time Setup

  1. Open CMS
  2. Click CMS from the Menu
  3. Click Contribution
  4. Click Process
  5. Click Merge/Export File
  6. Click New Report
    1. Select a Sort option ( Person Name or Envelope Number )
    2. Set the File Destination to A:\filename.TXT where filename is your monthly mailing number.

    3. Set the File Type to Envelope Mailing
    4. Selections
      • Member Status : Choose appropriate options
      • Participation Status : Choose appropriate options
      • Contribution/Pledge Selections : Choose appropriate options
      • Person Additional Selections : Choose appropriate additional information
      • House Additional Selections : Choose appropriate additional information
      • Include Persons to be Removed : check if appropriate
    5. Use Alternate Addresses if in effect : check if appropriate
    6. Field names in first record : check
  7. Close to save the macro

Run the NCS Merge Process - Create a parishioner file for NCS

  1. Open CMS
  2. Click CMS from the Menu
  3. Click Contribution
  4. Click Process
  5. Click Merge/Export File
  6. Select the NCS Merge Process Name and click Select
  7. Place a blank floppy disk in your floppy drive
  8. Click Output File
  9. Send the file on the floppy to NCS
